fifth polio virus case detected in Karachi

Police arrested 13 people in Dera Ismail Khan for boycotting the polio campaign in South Waziristan.

According to the details, during the polio campaign in Shikai Tehsil of Wana, the capital of South Waziristan, they refused to give polio drops to their children, on which DPO Waziristan Atiq Khan Wazir instructed, 13 parents were arrested and detained in Shikai police station.

They were later transferred to the Assistant Commissioner’s Office. In this regard, the statement issued by the district government says that no obstacle will be tolerated in the way of the polio campaign.

However, the reason for parents not getting polio vaccination is said to be the lack of 3G and 4G mobile service in the area, and according to the residents, the area lacks basic resources and there are many other problems for which they would have protested even yesterday.

A boycott of the polio campaign was announced. The polio campaign will be boycotted until mobile 3G and 4G services are available.
