French police detained a man who threatened to detonate explosives at the Iranian consulate in Paris.
Initially thought to be armed with a grenade and an explosive vest, the suspect was found to be unarmed.
Following the threat, French authorities cordoned off the consulate as a precautionary measure.
After extensive searches, including the suspect and the consulate premises, no explosives were discovered.
The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the absence of any explosive materials both on the suspect and within the consulate.
Despite the initial alarm, the situation was brought under control without incident.
