Political fervor isn’t waning, advises to move things in direction of peace

Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the political climate should be conducive to peace.

Despite the court’s directive, Fawad Chaudhry was brought in an armored vehicle to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) today for a hearing about a lawsuit opposing his arrest.

Speaking casually in the courtroom, Fawad Chaudhry said that 8,000 to 10,000 individuals have been arrested nationwide, the political climate isn’t calming down. He said that the nation was hurt, and it would be preferable for the situation to end in peace.

The journalist questioned how they would go about prosecuting their personnel after hearing that they would be charged under the Army Act and Official Secrets Act yesterday. Fawad Chaudhry responded that they would use other forms and related laws.

He claimed that he was detained in a cramped cell in the CIA building, where there was also a lavatory and poor living quarters, and that our other leadership is being held in Adiala Jail.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the petition objecting to Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest.
