Karachi: With the formation of the new government, investors confidence has begun to revive as the Pakistan Stock Exchange has reached its highest level in history.
After the Eid holidays, the first day of the business week witnessed a positive trend in the Pakistan Stock Market.
Trading at 100-index level of 70,480 points, the Pakistan Stock Exchange saw an increase of 166 points.
It is noteworthy that at the end of the previous business week, the stock market witnessed an increase of 694 points closing at a record high of 70,314 points.
American Currency
On the other hand, there has been an increase in the value of the American currency as well.
During the trading session, there was an increase of 16 paisas in the value of the American currency in the interbank market with the dollar trading at Rs. 278.10.
The positive performance of the stock market and the increase in the value of the American currency indicate a favourable start to the business week reflecting renewed investor confidence in the market.
