Prime Minister commends Army Chief’s support to prevent smuggling

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during his visit to the residence of Customs officer Hussain Ali Tirmizi, who was martyred in a recent terrorist attack in Abbottabad, stated the urgency of tackling smuggling in collaboration with provincial governments. He thanked Army Chief General Asim Munir for his support in this endeavor. Sharif extended his condolences to Tirmizi’s family and commended his sacrifice.

Asserting the need for concerted efforts to curb smuggling, he called for decisive action, highlighting the importance of stabilizing the economy by eradicating this menace. Sharif expressed gratitude for the support of relevant agencies and stated his commitment to combating smuggling.

He also honored the bravery of Inspector Hasnain and other martyrs, stressing the significance of their sacrifices in the ongoing fight against adversaries. Sharif pledged to spare no effort in addressing smuggling, acknowledging substantial economic benefits of its elimination.
