Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commends SIFC’s contribution to Saudi investment efforts

In Riyadh, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed a consultative meeting attended by federal ministers and officials from various ministries, stating the crucial need for continuous and dedicated effort towards the advancement and prosperity of Pakistan. He stressed that there is no tolerance for laziness and urged everyone to propel forward with swiftness.

During this gathering, PM Shehbaz Sharif was provided with comprehensive briefings by relevant ministries regarding the progress and developments in investment collaborations with the Saudi government.

Additionally, discussions were held with federal ministers to devise strategies for effectively presenting Pakistan’s stance at the upcoming World Economic Forum in a robust manner.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in a special two-day meeting of the World Economic Forum focused on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development in Riyadh.

Upon his arrival at the Riyadh Royal Airport, the Prime Minister and his delegation were warmly received by Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Waleed Al Khareeji, Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and embassy staff.

The invitation to attend the WEF meeting was extended to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, along with WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Professor Klaus Schwab.

During his time at the WEF meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to engage in bilateral discussions with global leaders, heads of world bodies, and other prominent personalities.

This visit to Saudi Arabia marks Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s second trip during his current term, acknowledging the importance of international collaboration and engagement for the development of Pakistan.
