Proposal to increase tax revenue from real estate sector in budget

Islamabad: A proposal to increase tax revenue from the real estate sector has been presented in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.

According to sources, the upcoming budget also includes a proposal to enhance action against anonymity in the real estate sector while preparations have been made to take action against those who do not have trader-friendly apps.

Sources have reported that the budget also considers further limiting subsidies to the electricity and gas sectors and discussions will be held on timely implementation of decisions regarding Nepra and Ogra in the new fiscal year.

The Ministry of Finance has further stated that the developmental budget in the new fiscal year will only focus on completing ongoing projects and audits of all ministries and departments will be conducted. Additionally, the process of austerity will be accelerated in the new fiscal year.
