PTI social media head Azhar Mashwani abducted from Lahore

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media head and former focal person to CM Punjab Azhar Mashwani has been abducted from outside his house in Lahore on Thursday, as per PTI social media team.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan claimed on Twitter that Azhar Mashwani had been “abducted” from Lahore and that his whereabouts were still unknown. He demanded the immediate release of Azhar Mashwani.

“Enough is enough. Police in Punjab & Islamabad are breaking all laws with impunity as they target PTI. Today Azhar Mashwani was abducted in the afternoon from Lahore & his whereabouts are unknown. On 18 March Senator Shibli Faraz & Omar Sultan were badly beaten by ICT police.”

Additionally, Imran Khan stated that he will be submitting photos of the IGs of Punjab and ICT as well as any officers engaging in this illegal activity to international human rights organizations.

Mashwani’s attorney Mian Ali Ashfaq also termed this as ‘abduction’ as FIA Lahore and Rawalpindi cybercrime offices along with Lahore police flatly denied.

PTI senior leader Fawad Chaudhry said that Azhar Mashwani should be brought before the court right away, and the charges should be explained in full.

They are living in a “fool’s paradise” if they assume that after torturing and killing Zille Shah, they will not even face criticism, he claimed.
