PTI to run nationwide campaign against inflation: Asad Umar

PTI leader and former federal minister Asad Umar declared on Sunday that the party would launch a nationwide campaign to combat growing inflation because the country has experienced a flood of price increases during the final eight months of the PDM government.

Speaking at a press conference in the provincial capital, he claimed that although the 13-party PDM coalition launched an anti-inflation campaign against the PTI administration and made promises to keep prices in check, they have now been thoroughly exposed.

According to the minister, milk was sold for Rs130 per kg during the PTI’s administration but is now sold for Rs200 per kg. He also claimed that the price of edible oil had increased by 33%.

Umar claimed that the country has been going through difficult times and expressed the hope that the elections in 2023 will put an end to the current state of political unrest.
