Rifts in PML-N as Hanif Abbasi blamed Miftah for destroying efforts of Shehbaz Sharif

PML-N leader, Hanif Abbasi, has joined the anti-Miftah camp, accusing him of “neutralizing the efforts” of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to improve the nation’s economy, further indicating a rift within the party.

On Friday, Hanif Abbasi accused Miftah and became another member of his own government’s detractors after Abid Sher Ali.

Speaking at a press conference with traders, Abbasi claimed the prime minister was making valiant attempts but the finance ministry was sabotaging it.

He claimed that new levies were being imposed on the taxpayers and urged the finance ministry to stop robbing the public.

He continued by claiming that around 11 taxes had been imposed on the industrial sector, which may cause workers to leave the sector.

He said, “My own driver received an electricity bill for Rs. 16,000.”

According to Abbasi, every sector had been impacted by rising electricity costs.

He added that it was really necessary to make judgments right away rather than going through committees.

He criticized the finance ministry, claiming that plundering could not support the nation’s economy.
