Robbery suspects set ablaze by angry mob in Karachi

A robbery suspect in the North Karachi area of Karachi fell victim to the wrath of the enraged public.

Fueled by concerns over rampant daily robberies plaguing their community, citizens unleashed their fury on the suspected criminal, subjecting him to brutal torture before dousing him in petrol and setting him on fire.

Disturbing footage of the incident captured the harrowing scene, depicting the intensity of the public’s outrage. Amidst the chaos, a courageous bystander can be seen attempting to extinguish the flames engulfing the suspect, highlighting the chaotic and violent nature of the situation.

As a result of the ordeal, the suspected robbers sustained severe injuries from the fire and were subsequently apprehended by the authorities. Upon their arrest, law enforcement officials recovered weapons, including two loaded pistol magazines, and mobile phones from the accused, shedding light on the criminal activities they were engaged in.

The detained suspects, identified as Abdullah and Shahzeb, also had a stolen motorcycle in their possession, adding further weight to the allegations against them. Notably, Shahzeb has a prior criminal record and has previously been arrested by law enforcement agencies, underscoring the habitual nature of his involvement in criminal activities.

While investigations into the incident are ongoing, the police have assured that legal action will be taken against all individuals involved, including those responsible for initiating the violent act of setting the suspects ablaze.
