Samarkand to stage FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024 draw

The forthcoming FIFA Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ draw, scheduled for May 26, heralds the anticipation leading up to the inaugural FIFA tournament set in Central Asia.

Spanning from September 14 to October 6, the event will unfold across three Host Cities: Tashkent, Andijan, and Bukhara.

As 24 qualified teams await their fate, the draw will unfold in the majestic backdrop of Samarkand’s Registan Square, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its resplendent azure mosaics.

Among the participating nations are defending champions Portugal, perennial powerhouses Brazil, and first-time entrants Afghanistan, France, New Zealand, and Tajikistan.

The inclusion of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, following their strong showings at the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, marks a historic juncture for Central Asian representation.

Uzbekistan’s role as the host nation positions it as the fourth AFC member to host the FIFA Futsal World Cup, showcasing the remarkable growth of futsal in the region over the past decade.

Notably, Uzbekistan’s national team, the White Wolves, has progressively asserted its presence on the international stage, notably reaching the knockout stage in the 2021 edition.

The tournament lineup promises an exhilarating display of futsal prowess, with teams from diverse corners of the globe converging for what is expected to be a memorable championship.
