Saudi Assistant defense minister visits Pakistan’s Chief of Army staff at GHQ

Assistant Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, H.E Major General (Engineer) Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, paid a visit to General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at GHQ.

The discussion mainly revolved around mutual interests and strategies to bolster bilateral defense cooperation, particularly in defense production and military training. COAS assured the continuous support of the Pakistan Army in enhancing the capacity of the Royal Saudi Land Forces.

During the meeting, the visiting dignitary praised the achievements and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in combating terrorism and acknowledged its significant contributions to regional peace and stability.

Furthermore, H.E Major General Talal Bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi participated in the 5th Meeting of Pakistan-KSA Defense Collaboration at GHQ, co-chaired by the CGS of the Pakistan Army.

The forum delved into the challenges to global and regional security and their impact on Defense Forces. It stressed the need for defense industrial cooperation between the two countries to address rapid technological advancements.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen defense collaboration with a targeted approach, focusing on specific capabilities in land, air, and sea domains. Concrete proposals were discussed to achieve tangible objectives within specified timelines.
