The Punjab Interior Department has enforced Section 144 in 10 districts ahead of the upcoming by-elections scheduled for April 21.
The decision aims to ensure law and order in Punjab during this period, as stated in a notification issued by the Interior Department.
Section 144 will be effective for five days, from April 18 to 22, in the following districts: Lahore, Kasur, Chakwal, Gujrat, Bhakar, Wazirabad, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Rahim Yar Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
During this period, individuals with licensed weapons will be prohibited from carrying them in public places in accordance with Section 144 regulations.
