Security forces have killed nine terrorists while three injured have been arrested from Kohlu.
According to the ISPR press release, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against BLA (H) terrorists in the ‘Siah Koh’ area of Kohlu Balochistan.
Intelligence agencies have been on the lookout for the terrorists since the September 30, 2022 blast in Kohlu Bazar in which two passers-by were martyred and 19 were injured.
The same group and its terrorists were involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion and attacks on security forces in the area.
Apart from this the terrorists also targeted engineers and labourers working on development projects in Balochistan. The terrorists were now preparing for attacks in Kohlu, Kahan and Maiwand.
“The operation began at 6 am. There was a fierce exchange of fire between the surrounding terrorists and security forces in which nine terrorists were killed and three injured,” said the statement.
The press release further stated that the security forces were still conducting a search operation in the area.
