Sharjah Administration Denies Reports of Azan Changes

The Sharjah city administration has responded to rumors about changes to the Azan by denying them and warning of consequences for spreading false information.

The Government Media Office of Sharjah issued a statement urging citizens to verify news before sharing, stating the importance of checking sources and avoiding rumors.
They stressed that reports of Azan changes in Sharjah are baseless and go against the emirate’s religious values.

The UAE has strict laws against spreading fake news, with penalties including imprisonment and fines as outlined in Article 52 of Federal Decree Law No. 34, 2021
