Sheikh Rasheed rushed to hospital after health deteriorates

Awami Muslim League (AML) chief, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, was swiftly admitted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) on Monday after experiencing health issues.

The former interior minister was transported to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) due to complaints of chest pain. Upon arrival at the hospital, medical professionals promptly attended to Sheikh Rasheed.

Medical examinations, including an electrocardiogram (ECG), were conducted to evaluate his condition. As a precautionary measure, the AML chief is currently under observation at the hospital.

It is worth noting that Sheikh Rasheed had recently reemerged after a month-long absence, during which he condemned the May 9 riots and referred to PTI chief Imran Khan as ‘stubborn’.

In a conversation with a private news channel, the former interior minister revealed that he had spent the past 40 days in a ‘Chilla’ (apparently a period of introspection or solitude).

Rasheed, a staunch ally of PTI chief Imran Khan, mentioned that he had the opportunity to reflect on various matters during this period of solitude and emphasized that no harm was caused during this time.

Furthermore, the AML president reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Pakistan Army, saying that he had also advised PTI chief to maintain strong relations with the military.

He proudly declared himself as the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army.
