Showbiz personality and Bollywood enthusiast Amar Khan reminisced about her trip to India during her recent appearance on actor Hina Altaf and Syed Ali’s travel podcast ‘Footprints’.
Khan fondly recounted her month-long journey through India as a student, filled with hopes of fulfilling her Bollywood dreams.
However, she was disappointed when her expectations of being greeted by superstar Shahrukh Khan at the railway station weren’t met.
Reflecting on the trip, Khan shared how she traveled on foot through Amritsar, Delhi, and Bombay, via train, expressing her lifelong obsession with Bollywood.
Despite her anticipation of a filmy encounter like Simran’s iconic scene from “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,” Khan humorously described the reality of encountering people with oiled hair and profuse sweating instead of a grand Bollywood welcome.
Despite not fitting the stereotypical Bollywood heroine image, Khan admitted to being immersed in the fantasy, fueled by her passion for Bollywood.
