Sialkot police arrest PTI’s leader Rehana Dar

On Thursday, Sialkot Police carried out the apprehension of Rehana Dar, a leader associated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. The circumstances leading to the arrest began to unfold as Rehana Dar was making her way to participate in a prayer ceremony organized by PTI to commemorate the “martyrs” of the May 9 unrest, scheduled to take place at Jinnah House in Sialkot.

However, her intended attendance was interrupted when, just before reaching the venue, she was suddenly detained by a female constable. It appears that the arrest occurred prior to her participation in the event.

Simultaneously, a significant presence of law enforcement personnel, including a heavy contingent of police officers, was observed in the vicinity, indicating a heightened state of security and readiness in the area.
