Bollywood style icon Sonam Kapoor found herself in a bit of controversy after inadvertently stirring up trouble by offering what some deemed as “inappropriate” fashion advice to fellow stars Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra.
In an old clip from Karan Johar’s show “Koffee with Karan,” Sonam was part of a Rapid-fire round where she was asked to provide fashion tips to various actors and actresses.
When prompted about Parineeti Chopra, Sonam suggested that she avoid wearing tight clothes. Similarly, when asked about Alia Bhatt, Sonam remarked that she should dress according to her age.
The video caught attention online, with netizens expressing mixed opinions. While some accused Sonam of body-shaming Parineeti, others criticized her approach to commenting on fellow actors and actresses, labeling her remarks as more akin to “judgments.”
Following the incident, reports surfaced of tension between Sonam and Parineeti. However, later reports indicated that the two had reconciled and even engaged in friendly conversation at a party, reportedly exchanging phone numbers.
On a personal note, Sonam Kapoor married Anand Ahuja in May 2018 and welcomed her son, Vayu, in August 2022.
In an interview, Sonam shared her journey of post-pregnancy weight gain, revealing it took her one and a half years to regain her pre-pregnancy shape.
