Squid game season 2 unveils exciting cast additions and teaser at Netflix’s Tudum event

During Netflix’s Tudum Global Fan Event in Brazil, new details about the highly anticipated second season of the South Korean thriller series “Squid Game” were revealed. The event featured a teaser for the upcoming season, introducing both returning and new cast members.

Lee Jung-jae, who portrays the cash-strapped protagonist Seong Gi-hun, will be returning for the second season. Also making a comeback is Lee Byung-hun, who plays the mysterious character known as “Front Man,” and Wi Ha-jun, who portrays the cop searching for his missing brother, entangled in the dangerous game.

Joining the cast for Season 2 are Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun. However, it remains uncertain if Oh Yeong-su, who portrayed the elderly character Oh Il-nam in the first season, will be returning, despite the revelation of his complex involvement in the game towards the end of Season 1.

“Squid Game” premiered in 2021 and achieved tremendous success, earning six Primetime Emmy Awards. Although the release date for the second season has not been announced yet, fans eagerly await its arrival.
