A tragic incident unfolded in Lahore on Saturday where a police sub-inspector fell victim to unidentified attackers.
Sub-Inspector Arshad was on his way home after completing his duty when he came under attack near the Misri Shah area of Lahore, according to the police.
Sadly, the assailants fired three fatal shots at the officer, resulting in his demise. The police have initiated an investigation into this distressing event.
In a separate incident earlier in the day, a police officer in Lahore’s Samanabad area fatally shot a woman before taking his own life.
According to police reports, the officer, identified as Asad, fired at the woman, causing her immediate death, before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities disclosed that the victim’s husband resides abroad, while the police officer was unmarried. Nonetheless, an investigation has been launched to ascertain the motive behind this tragic incident.
