The high-budget historical drama “Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi,” a collaborative effort between Pakistan and Turkey, has premiered in Pakistan after initially airing in Turkish on TRT.
Starring Uğur Güneş as Salahuddin Ayyubi, the series features a predominantly Turkish cast.
Following its announcement in December 2021, the drama underwent auditions in Pakistan with over 6,000 participants, including rumors of well-known actors like Ayesha Omar being considered for roles.
Pakistani viewers have expressed excitement over the Urdu adaptation of the series, joining the popularity of other Turkish historical dramas like “Diriliş: Ertuğrul” and “Kuruluş: Osman” in the country.
