Taylor Swift recently revealed that “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone, will be the lead single from her upcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”
Taking to Instagram, Swift shared the album cover featuring herself and Post Malone, expressing admiration for his songwriting and musical experimentation.
She described working with him on “Fortnight” as witnessing magic come to life.
Swift eagerly anticipated the song’s release at midnight and the video premiere the following evening.
The announcement quickly gained over two million likes. “Fortnight” is said to be the opening track of “Tortured Poets” and one of only two songs to feature another artist, with the other being “Florida!!!” featuring Florence Welch.
Swift also shared that heartbreak would be a major theme of the album, as indicated by five playlists she curated on Apple Music.
She initially announced the album’s existence in February during her Grammy Awards acceptance speech.
“The Tortured Poets Department” is set to be released on April 19th.
