New York: American politician and member of Congress, Ken Calvert has announced a space warfare initiative stating that the US military will establish a presence on the moon to counter Russia and China.
Chairing the subcommittee on defence matters in the US House of Representatives, Ken Calvert expressed concern that China will deploy its military on the moon’s surface while Russia will place several-ton weighted bombs in Earth’s orbit.
He stated that this would be a direct threat, indicating that if any action is taken against Russia, Moscow will deploy a bomb that would devastate everything in the lower orbit of the Earth.
Congress member Calvert emphasized that the US Space Force will also be activated. Discussions are ongoing and at any time, the space force could be deployed to the moon. It is possible that by the end of this decade, America will establish a military base on the moon.
It should be noted that American newspapers have claimed that in 2021, Russia and China announced their intention to establish an International Lunar Research Station.
