The Associated Press (AP) news agency has reported that the United States halted the delivery of a bomb shipment to Israel last week due to concerns about a potential full-scale assault on Rafah. Citing a senior administration official, the AP disclosed that the shipment was supposed to include 1,800 bombs weighing 2,000 pounds (over 900 kg) each, along with 1,700 bombs weighing 500 pounds (226 kg).
The official, who requested anonymity, revealed that the decision to pause the shipment was made last week, and a final determination regarding the transfer of weapons at a later date has not yet been reached.
