Vote of No Confidence be presented in first week of January, Speaker

Want to dissolve assembly on given date but after Vote of No Confidence it will be done Constitutionally

Speaker Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan has said that a Vote of No Confidence will be presented in the assembly in the first week of January.

Speaking to the media he said that they wanted to dissolve the assembly on a given date but now after the Vote of Confidence and the Vote of No Confidence they will have to do that according to the Constitution.

He said that a Vote of no Confidence has been presented but notices will be sent before that. He said that he has sent a reply to the Governor that the assembly was in session and Governor could not summon another session while the assembly was already in session.

Sibtain Khan said that they have so far stopped the letter to President and if Governor will de-notify then they shall write a letter to the President.

The Speaker of the provincial assembly also said that if Governor takes back his Vote of Confidence and Vote of No Confidence then he will dissolve the assembly within 48 hours. He said that they wanted to dissolve assemblies.

Sibtain Khan further said that he has rights as a speaker and he would request Governor to work as per law and constitution.
