Prime Minister scheduled to fly to Saudi Arabia on April 28 for WEF attendance

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to embark on a journey to Saudi Arabia come April 28th, as disclosed in a recent press release by the spokesperson of the Foreign Office. His itinerary includes attendance at the esteemed World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting, taking place in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, from April 28th to the 29th of the year 2024. Alongside him, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will also grace the event, participating in the special gathering focusing on global cooperation, development, and energy.

Noteworthy is the fact that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been extended invitations from both the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the esteemed founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, Professor Klaus Schwab, to partake in this significant gathering.

During the Pakistan High-Level Forum, discussions will ensue on a myriad of pressing global issues, including the challenges facing global health systems, strategies for promoting inclusive economic growth, fostering cooperation among regional partners, and maintaining a delicate balance for sustainable economic development.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister, accompanied by the Foreign Minister, is slated to engage in bilateral discussions with a spectrum of world leaders, heads of international organizations, and other notable figures, underlining the diplomatic significance of this occasion.

Adding to the diplomatic calendar, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will extend his engagements beyond the confines of the WEF meeting. He is also set to grace the 15th Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit, scheduled to convene in Banjul, Gambia, on the 4th and 5th of May 2024.
