Renowned Indian filmmaker Boney Kapoor has firmly stated that he will not permit a biopic to be produced on his late wife, actress Sridevi, as long as he is alive.
Recent rumors circulating in Indian media suggested that preparations for a biopic on the late actress Sridevi were underway. However, during a recent interview, Boney Kapoor dispelled these rumors, emphasizing that Sridevi was a private individual who kept her personal life separate from the media spotlight. He expressed his belief that even after her passing, her life should remain private.
Kapoor went on to assert that he does not foresee a biopic being made on Sridevi, asserting, “As long as I am alive, I will not allow it to happen.”
Boney Kapoor and Sridevi were married in June 1996 and shared two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
Sridevi tragically passed away in 2018 after drowning in a bathtub at a hotel in Dubai. Indian media initially reported her cause of death as a heart attack.
