‘What would PM do after Punjab goes out of hand?’ asks Asad Umar

Asad Umar has said that Pakistan would head towards new elections after the results of Punjab by-elections as after Punjab gone out of hand what would the imported Prime Minister do?

He warned that if the electoral watchdog would have failed to conduct fair by-elections in Punjab then Pakistan would move into a difficult situation.

Addressing a press conference on Friday secretary-general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Umar said that changes in the results of the upcoming by-polls through interference are afoot.

He alleged the government involved in benefitting the ex-PTI candidates by using state machinery and changing voters’ lists.

PTI secretary-general urged his party workers to make full preparations for the coming elections. Asad Umar suggested the ECP allot itself an election symbol for behaving like a political party.

Talking about the arrest of journalist Imran Riaz Khan, Asad Umar said that all of it has been part of tactics to create terror; adding that Imran Riaz Khan would come as a hero without losing anything.

He said that the people of Pakistan were losing trust in the system as thoughts could not be suppressed by handcuffs. He also alleged that his party supporters were receiving threatening phone calls from unknown numbers.

A day earlier, PTI’s leader Fawad Chaudhry had also claimed that phone calls from unknown numbers were being made to their supporters. He had even played audio of a phone call during the press conference.
