Sufi Malik and Anjali Chakra, a well-known same-sex couple consisting of a Pakistani fashion and lifestyle photographer and an Indian wedding planner residing in the United States, recently announced the end of their relationship just before their planned wedding.

They shared the news on their respective Instagram accounts, platforms where they first gained popularity five years ago with a viral photoshoot.

In a heartfelt statement, Malik admitted to being unfaithful to Chakra a few weeks before their wedding, causing significant pain to her partner. Chakra, of Indian descent, is a wedding planner and co-owner of a US-based events company called Behl Events. She began her career as an assistant with the company and worked her way up to Lead Event Consultant.

Sufi Malik, originally from Pakistan, is a fashion and lifestyle photographer. The couple got engaged in 2022 with a romantic proposal at New York’s Empire State Building, where Malik proposed to Chakra with a ring.

Their relationship began on Tumblr and flourished on Instagram, where Chakra initiated contact by messaging Malik.

They are both based in New York, although Chakra frequently travels between New York and San Francisco.

Additionally, they shared a YouTube channel where they documented their experiences, openly discussed their relationship, and shared their proposal video.
