An eight-year-old girl was reportedly subjected to sexual and physical assault by a shopkeeper in the Khorwah Chowk area of Mirpur Bathoro town of district Sujawal in Sindh.
As per the information received through sources late on Sunday night, Shabana, 8, was found in a precarious condition with her hands and feet tied with a rope at the backside of a tuck-shop located at some distance from her house.
She was instantly rushed to Government Hospital Mirpur Bathoro, where the administration of the hospital refused to treat her due to the unavailability of a lady doctor. Later, she was referred to Civil Hospital Sujawal where her treatment continued till the filing of this report.
The father of the victim told local reporters that her daughter left home along with her friends in the evening, who later informed the parents that she had gone missing.
