The schedules of 55 domestic and international flights were disrupted across Pakistan on Monday due to adverse weather conditions and operational issues, causing delays of up to 11 hours at several airports.
According to flight schedule details, Islamabad International Airport faced significant disruptions after strong winds and thunderstorms affected flight operations. A total of 16 flights experienced delays of up to seven hours.
Bad weather also affected flights between Karachi and Islamabad, with six flights delayed by around 1.5 to seven hours.
Lahore International Airport recorded delays involving 14 flights, with waiting times ranging from one to 11 hours. The Dubai-to-Lahore Pakistan International Airlines flight PA-41 arrived 11 hours late. Two Lahore-to-Jeddah flights faced delays of around 10 hours, while a Lahore-to-Sharjah flight was also delayed by 11 hours.
A flight from Kuala Lumpur to Lahore experienced a delay of approximately five and a half hours.
At Karachi airport, nine flights faced delays ranging from one to three hours, further affecting passengers travelling on both domestic and international routes.
Flight operations at Multan International Airport also suffered disruptions. Six flights bound for Sharjah, Dubai and Madinah faced delays ranging from one to 10 hours.
Meanwhile, five flights departing from Sialkot for Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi were delayed by up to two and a half hours.
The disruptions caused inconvenience for hundreds of passengers, with airlines adjusting arrival and departure schedules in response to weather conditions and operational constraints. Travellers have been advised to confirm their flight status with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.
