IMF conditions skyrocketed petroleum price in 2022

Due to the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) the prices of petroleum products have increased manifold in the year 2022 after which there was a storm of inflation across the country.

According to details, the IMF conditions have increased the petroleum levy to a record level in the year 2022 when in one year the petroleum levy was increased by Rs32.38 per litre on Petrol.

The levy on petrol has been increased from Rs17.92 to Rs50 per litre during the year 2022.

Similarly, the levy on high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs12.87 per litre while the levy on diesel has been increased from Rs17.13 to Rs30 per litre.

The distributor margin on petrol was increased by Rs1.32 while the dealer margin was increased by Rs2.10. The distributor margin on diesel was increased by Rs1.53 per litre while the dealer margin was increased by Rs2.87 per litre.

In January 2022 the price of petrol was Rs144.62 per litre which has been increased to Rs214.80 so far.
