Abdul Baqi Haqqani advocates modern sciences as path to independence

During the entrance exams for master’s and doctoral programs at the Afghan International Islamic University (AIIU) in Kabul, Abdul Baqi Haqqani stated the importance of integrating modern sciences into Afghanistan’s educational landscape for achieving self-sufficiency.

He highlighted the need to balance religious and modern sciences, stressing that recent conflicts have hindered progress in both areas. Haqqani expressed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to advancing Afghanistan’s scientific standing globally.

Deputy Abdul Malik Niazi affirmed the university’s dedication to upholding international teaching standards. Eighty candidates participated in the exams, with admissions prioritizing high achievers across two faculties and three programs. Test taker Mohammad Moqim hoped for discounted programs, especially for government employees.

AIIU officials pledged to deliver an internationally competitive educational experience and triple the value of services for students’ tuition fees.
