Administration prioritizes implementing official rate lists

Punjab’s Information Minister, Azma Bokhari, articulated a detailed account of the recent downward trend in vegetable and fruit prices, accrediting it to the concerted efforts of the administration spanning all districts of Punjab.

Notably, she acknowledged the substantial reductions, with onion prices plummeting by Rs29, tomatoes by Rs24, and potatoes by Rs22 in just one week. Additionally, a noteworthy decline of 15 to 20 rupees was observed in the prices of other essential vegetables.

This commendable achievement was attributed to the proactive measures undertaken by price control magistrates and dedicated teams, operating under the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Bokhari stated the pivotal role of enforcing official rate lists, advocating for the daily engagement of Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and Commissioners in conducting thorough market visits. She reiterated Nawaz’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that fundamental necessities, such as vegetables and bread, remain within the economic reach of the populace, thereby addressing the basic needs of the common man.

Furthermore, Bokhari elucidated Nawaz’s proactive stance in establishing fair pricing mechanisms and prioritizing accessibility to essential food items for the general populace. She reiterated Nawaz’s steadfast dedication to empowering women and youth, positioning her as a staunch advocate for their welfare and prosperity.

Moreover, Bokhari reaffirmed Nawaz’s overarching concern for the welfare of the 110 million inhabitants of Punjab, emphasizing the administration’s resolve to address their concerns and fulfill their trust.

This commitment was juxtaposed with a dismissal of detractors, highlighting Nawaz’s unwavering focus on serving the needs of the people and delivering on the mandate bestowed upon her administration.
