ATC issues arrest warrant of Khadijah Shah in Jinnah house case

An arrest warrant, which can be settled with bail, has been issued by the anti-terrorism court (ATC) for Khadijah Shah in connection with the Jinnah House arson case.

Khadijah Shah’s non-appearance in court prompted the issuance of the arrest warrant by Judge Arshad Javed.

The court has ordered Khadijah Shah to appear before it today (Tuesday).

Additionally, the court has initiated proceedings in the Jinnah House case, while the police filed charges against Khadijah Shah at the Sarwar Road station.

Previously, Police had apprehended Khadija Shah, the daughter of former finance minister Salman Shah and a designer, in connection with the Jinnah House attack case on May 9.

Punjab Police had conducted raids at three different locations but were unsuccessful in arresting Khadija Shah, who is suspected of involvement in the Jinnah House attack.

It was reported that Khadija Shah sought refuge at Meher Tareen’s residence, and upon the police raid, she managed to flee the scene. Police mentioned that Khadija Shah left while concealing her identity under a veil, an hour before their arrival.

Meanwhile, Meher Tareen stated in her testimony that she has had no communication with Khadija Shah since she vacated her apartment.
