Rescue 1122 found the dead body of a newborn floating in a drain on Sunday.
According to reports, a newborn baby’s body was seen floating in a drain in the area of Mohni Road by Rescue 1122 officials when they were responding to an emergency.
Rescuers recovered the body. According to a spokesman, the child has not been identified as yet and the body has been handed over to police. While talking to Minute Mirror, police said that no FIR has been registered but they have opened an investigation into the incident.
A rescue official who helped recover the body said that “we often face situations that shake us emotionally, and seeing a newborn’s dead body in such a bad condition is not easy. We are humans and these kind of incidents are very heartbreaking”.
