Bismah Maroof announces her retirement from international cricket

Pakistan’s women’s cricketer Bismah Maroof announced her retirement from international cricket on Thursday.

She expressed her gratitude for the support she has received throughout her career, saying, “I have decided to say goodbye to the sport I love. It has been a memorable journey.”

Maroof thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), her teammates, family, and fans for their unwavering support. She mentioned that they have always been by her side throughout her cricket career.

During her career, Maroof played in 136 Women’s One-Day Internationals (WODIs) for Pakistan, amassing 3,369 runs with an average of 29.55.

In her 140 Women’s Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), she scored 2,893 runs with an average of 27.55.
