Boeing stands by safety testing amid whistleblower allegations

On Monday, Boeing reaffirmed the robustness and safety testing protocols implemented for its 787 Dreamliner and 777 aircraft, following recent claims by one of its engineers alleging that the company had taken “shortcuts” to accelerate production of these planes.

The whistleblower, Sam Salehpour, came forward last week, expressing concerns that Boeing’s assembly process for the 787 placed undue strain on aircraft joints, potentially compromising the longevity of these planes. Boeing has refuted these claims, labeling them as “inaccurate,” and maintained its confidence in the safety standards applied to its aircraft.
