Budget 2026–27, Education sector receives funding allocation

Islamabad – The federal government has allocated approximately 22 billion rupees for the Danish Schools Network in the upcoming fiscal year 2026–27.

While addressing the budget session, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that around 22 billion rupees have been allocated for the Danish Schools Network in the current budget.

The finance minister said that under the Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development Program, 7.9 billion rupees have been allocated for NAVTTC. Additionally, 13 billion rupees have been allocated for reforms in civil services, justice, police and digital governance.

Furthermore, 45 billion rupees have been allocated for Azad Kashmir, 44 billion rupees for Gilgit-Baltistan and 56 billion rupees for the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as development budgets.

The Federal Finance Minister further added that an additional 5 billion rupees will be given to Azad Kashmir and 4 billion rupees to Gilgit-Baltistan as part of a special Prime Minister’s package.

It is worth noting that the National Assembly session chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was held to approve the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2026–27 which exceeds a total volume of 17.5 trillion rupees. During the session, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented the budget.
