The Federal Cabinet approved Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar as Chairman of NADRA for three years.
Initially appointed by the caretaker government led by Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar on October 2, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Munir Afsar’s appointment has now been officially endorsed for a three-year term by the federal government.
The Ministry of Interior circulated a summary for this appointment, which was approved by the Federal Cabinet.
In addition, Rule Seven A was included in the NADRA Rules 2020, empowering the government to appoint any serving officer as Chairman of NADRA in the national interest.
