Sarfraz Bugti, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, extended his congratulations to former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on assuming the role of Senate chairman.
In a meeting held in Islamabad, CM Bugti paid a visit to the newly-elected Senate chairman, where they discussed various challenges confronting Balochistan.
The meeting was attended by notable figures such as former caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) chief Khalid Magsi, MNA Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani, and Ali Haider Gilani.
Recently, CM Bugti made a commitment to implement a “good governance” model in the province, aiming to eradicate the prevailing culture of inefficiency and corruption.
Highlighting the importance of upholding the constitution and ensuring the protection of citizens’ rights, CM Bugti emphasized the need to uphold the rule of law and bring those challenging the state’s authority to justice.
He also stressed the significance of dialogue in addressing the province’s issues and pledged to tackle smuggling activities while promoting legitimate trade endeavors.
