Court approves Bushra Bibi’s plea for Imran Khan’s medical checkup

On Monday, the accountability court presided by judge Nasir Javed Rana made a ruling on the 190-million-pound reference case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi. The court approved appeal5 for the medical checkup of the two accused individuals.

As per the court’s directive, a medical examination including an endoscopy test is to be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Asim Younis and a government doctor from a private hospital within the next two days specifically for Bushra Bibi. Additionally, the court ordered for the immediate removal of extra walls within the courtroom.

It was stated by the judge that no further proceedings in the case will take place until the extra walls are taken down. Furthermore, the jail administration was tasked with resolving any issues related to media presenters during the court proceedings.

The case has been postponed to April 23 as a result of these developments. This decision came after a detailed hearing where the court made sure that the necessary steps were taken to facilitate the medical checkup of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in a timely manner.
