‘Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Manchester United till January’

Cristiano Ronaldo will possibly be staying at Manchester United until at least the reopening of the transfer market in January.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has said that he was convinced him and Cristiano Ronaldo were on the same page and that he [Ronaldo] would not stay at Old Trafford if he did not want to.

Erik stated, “From the start, we said we planned with Ronaldo, we are happy with him, he’s happy to be here, and we want to make the season a success together.”

Ronaldo’s attempts to leave Man United in pursuit of Champions League football is about to end with Thursday’s transfer deadline coming.

He will have to stay in Manchester for another five months until the market reopens and he may have the chance to move.

Ronaldo, who has played just one Premier League game this season, may have his playing time further restricted by United’s impending £86 million acquisition of Brazilian striker Antony from Ajax.

Manchester United’s acquisition of Antony will bring the club’s summer expenditure to above £225 million, following the additions of Casemiro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, and Christian Eriksen.
