Dialogue only when ‘stolen mandate’ returned: Imran

Imran Khan, the founding chairman of PTI, has made it clear that any potential dialogue hinges on the restoration of his party’s “stolen mandate” and the release of incarcerated party members, according to a statement from PTI’s media department.

Speaking from Adiala Jail, Mr. Khan urged the judges overseeing his and his wife’s cases to expedite their rulings rather than needlessly prolonging them.

He reiterated his willingness to engage in talks, but only if their alleged stolen mandate is returned and imprisoned party workers are set free.

Moreover, he insisted that negotiations should be conducted with PTI’s current adversaries, which appears to be a veiled reference to the military establishment.

Mr. Khan vehemently denounced the charges against him, labeling them as concocted and unfounded, including those relating to the Al-Qadir Trust, Iddat, and the cipher case.

He took aim at Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, accusing him of bias against PTI and failing to ensure a fair playing field. Mr. Khan highlighted the delay in addressing PTI’s petitions regarding alleged electoral fraud and issues concerning women’s reserved seats.

He criticized the judiciary’s decisions, alleging coercion and intimidation, and urged judges to resist pressure and uphold justice.

Mr. Khan called upon the nation to seize this historic opportunity to stand against oppression, cautioning that nations failing to resist tyranny would remain enslaved.

He condemned the practice of framing multiple charges for a single offense and expressed concern for his and his wife’s safety, alleging denial of medical treatment.
