Dr. Nasir Chaudhry elected general secretary of Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan

LAHORE: Dr Nasir Chaudhry won the general secretary seat in the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan, Lahore Branch, elections held on January 13. The electoral battle witnessed active participation from a substantial number of voters across Punjab, with Lahore playing a pivotal role in exercising the democratic right to vote.

The elections saw Dr Nasir Chaudhry go head-to-head with his opponent, Prof Khawaja Khalid Shoaib, ultimately emerging victorious. Prof Mian Arshad defeated Prof Tehmina Jahangir for the position of Joint Secretary.

In the Treasurer’s race, Irfan Karamat emerged triumphant over Abdul Rauf. Moreover, the elections marked the election of 20 out of 43 executive members, further shaping the leadership landscape of Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan.
