He was branded a “greedy capitalist” despite his recent clarification about excluding the “Thrift Shop” singer from his Loop World Tour.

Now, popular singer Charlotte Church has launched an extraordinary onstage rant against Sheeran, criticizing him for his insensitive remarks and stance on the issue.

The singer has recently called herself an advocate for the Palestinian people and publicly opposed the UK’s ban on Palestine Action, urging the crowd to chant along with her, “Free Palestine.”

During her End Times Pop Dungeon show in Cardiff on Sunday, she said, “Whilst he has made millions and has an enormous following, he has an enormous platform to do real good in the world. He chose consumerism and capitalism over doing the right thing.”

She went on, “So we say the same thing to Ed Sheeran because f** the fact [he says] that musicians shouldn’t be involved in politics. F* that s**. Politics is life.”

Charlotte then added, “Ed Sheeran, we’re watching you,” repeating the phrase with her band at least four times before leading the audience in chants of “Free Palestine.”

This came after Ed Sheeran recently broke down in tears on stage during his Philadelphia concert after feeling abandoned by friends and family amid intense backlash surrounding the Macklemore tour fallout.

Rapper Macklemore was dropped from Sheeran’s Loop Tour by promoters after supporting Palestine on stage.

During his concert at Lincoln Financial Field, an emotional Sheeran told the crowd that people close to him had retreated, family members had criticized him publicly, and many had urged him to cancel the tour.

However, despite his clarification, Ed Sheeran continued to receive online backlash.
