Educational expo in Hyderabad highlights  importance of modern teaching methods

Inaugurating the “Open House” themed one-day Educational Expo at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School and College Hyderabad, Mayor Hyderabad Kashif Shoro emphasized the crucial role of education in shaping a nation’s destiny.

The event showcased scientific projects, art, and research from students across various educational institutes in the city. Mr. Shoro commended the Aga Khan Education Board for Pakistan and AKHS Hyderabad for organizing an impactful expo that attracted participants from different parts of Sindh, including students, educators, and members of civil society.

During his visit to different stalls, Mr. Shoro interacted with students, inquiring about their projects and research. He praised the collaborative efforts of students and staff, stating that such events contribute to the progress and prosperity of Sindh.

The expo, spanning science, sociology, art and culture, artificial intelligence, career counseling, and sports, received enthusiastic participation from 70 educational institutions. Zaffar Abbas, the Academic Coordinator of the higher secondary school, highlighted the event’s goal of fostering proactive and progressive thinking in society.

Senior Executive Principal Mr. Shahriyar Bhutto shared the school’s commitment to innovative teaching methods, emphasizing the relevance of the showcased teaching methodologies as the “need of the day.” Deputy Mayor Hyderabad Mr. Saghir Ahmed acknowledged the contributions of the Aga Khan Development Network in advancing education and voluntarism.

He pointed out that Hyderabad’s hosting of literature and cultural festivals reflects the city’s promising future. The Educational Expo effectively underscored the significance of embracing modern teaching approaches for the holistic development of education in the region.
