Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal’s victory challenged in SHC

The victories of Mustafa Kamal and Dr. Farooq Sattar from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) as Members of the National Assembly (MNA) have been challenged in the Sindh High Court (SHC).

PTI-supported independent candidates, Dawa Khan Sabir and Aftab Jahangir, who were defeated by Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar, respectively, challenged their victories.

Khan claimed in his petition that according to Form 45, he secured 53,000 votes, but the results were allegedly altered in Form 47, resulting in Kamal being declared the winner for NA-242. Jibran Nasir, representing the PTI-backed candidate, urged the SHC to invalidate Form 47.

Meanwhile, Dr. Farooq Sattar’s victory from NA-244 was also contested in the high court. It’s worth noting that PTI-supported independent candidates have challenged the election outcomes in 19 National and Sindh Assemblies constituencies.
